What is Halfmile Fitness?

Halfmile means “arriving” in years, simulating distance, into the second stage of life. Halfmile Fitness is a motivational site on fitness, health, and wellness for men and women. Our goal is to empower healthier aging for individuals 40 years and over. We share natural alternatives that will help strengthen the mind and body along with a renewed feeling of vitality.

About Drew Stitt Jr.

It was all a part of his journey as a Dancer, Choreographer, Songwriter, and Music Producer, that Drew is the fitness buff he is today! His fitness training began over 30 years ago while working as a choreographer and dancer for the 80s’ CBS recording group, Process & The Doo Rags.

It was during this period that he began to venture into weight-training while taking up martial arts. During his stay in Albany, he took up Keiko Shin Kai, where he was mentored under the tutelage of Sheehan Dan Hoffman.

Drew is the co-owner and co-editor for Halfmile Fitness. His love of training is his commitment to staying mobile along with the secret to staying youthful! In Drew’s own words, “If you want to make the body’s movement more effortless, you must make movement continuous and on purpose.”

Drew resides in New York. He is the proud father of five sons and a doting grandfather of three grandsons and one granddaughter.

 

About Valerie Stitt   

With a self-driven mentality, Valerie’s employment record comes with a background in Banking, Law, and Tourism. She first got a taste of the fitness world in the early 90s’ when she accepted an invitation to enter into the Chase Corporate Challenge in her hometown. From that experience, she challenged herself each year to finish in less time than the year before.

It is her passion which drives life choices. She transcended into full-time entrepreneurship in 2012. Valerie is the owner and co-editor of Halfmile Fitness. She too patterns her life on healthier living and coaches others to do the same. She has authored four eBook guides on how to maximize nutrition, health, and fitness goals. Along with her other hats, Valerie is the owner of her freelance business, VS Edits.

Valerie resides in New York. She is the mother of two sons and a proud grandmother of two granddaughters who are her pride and joys.
