“He who cures a disease may be the skillfulest, but he that prevents it is the safest physician.” Thomas Fuller
Even since childhood, we have all made a mental note of all the goals we achieved. For the most part, it generally coincides in this order:
- School or College
- Career
- Getting married and/or raising a family
And the process repeats itself with our children and grandchildren. Before we know it, we wake up one day realizing how fast time flies. We take inventory of our lives and are proud of the accomplishments that we have made.
Getting older is unavoidable. We began aging since the day we are born. It is a process, not something at which we just arrive.
We live in a very fast-paced world which can be very stressful at times. However, constant stress can have a negative impact physically, mentally, and emotionally. We notice that our physical and mental pace is not as quick as once before. Information that once popped into our heads can instantly detach and reattach itself at any given time.
It is refreshing to know that we are now living in the age where people are seeking more natural solutions and alternatives for healthier aging than even before. Countless studies show that living an active lifestyle along with a healthy eating plan decreases the mortality rate for individuals ages 40 and over. Everyone from the young and the young at heart need better care for the body and mind by keeping healthy. There is no better time than now. The younger you start, the better.
Do you recall they saying that life begins at 40 or that you are only as old as you feel? If so, then take care of yourself so that you will feel and look younger than you are.
